Fishing Charters on Puget Sound Daily
CAPS is a regional association of Charterboat owners and operators formed in 1987, representing individuals who charter in the State of Washington on Puget Sound. CAPS membership includes marine charters who provide Salmon fishing, Halibut fishing, Bottom fishing, Crabbing and other excursions for hire. CAPS is the Association that represents fishing charter boat interests on Puget Sound .CAPS is a non-profit organization consisting of Charterboat owners and operators, who operate on Puget Sound ranging from Olympia to Bellingham and west to Neah Bay. CAPS has specific requirements to become a member.    
​ 1. Valid US Coast Guard License
2.  Washington department of fisheries license for the boat
3.  Proof of liability Insurance
This assures anyone who goes on or recommends a CAPS member boat, that the boat and Captain are legally licensed and insured.
CAPS maintains a very active involvement with the state legislature, Washington Department of fish and Wildlife, Recreation Fishing groups and other agencies as necessary for the further development of recreational fisheries.
